Have you got yours???

I have mine! No, I did not que up at 8.00 for it, I went to the shops this afternoon and brought my copy of Harry Potter. I am a fan, but it wont be read straight away as I am mid book already! I know some people slate JKR, but what she has done for children's literature I feel is wonderful. She has created a series of stories that children and adults want to read, if they don't read them a lot will see the movies!

Life in Oz is good. We have almost finished decorating the house. We have the whole house in an off white, a nice warm shade, with colour coming from the soft furnishings. We have only been here two years next week! Well, in Australia anyhow! Yep, we landed in Adelaide on 29th July 05. We are on a two year 'contract' to South Australia, so after next week, if we wanted to move away we can. We wont though, we like it here too much and everything is now looking good, so why change it! We have looked into buying a hobby farm in the Hills, but not yet. We want to be able to enjoy it more, and not have to work all the week to go for a couple of nights at the weekend. If our numbers come up this weekend though, that would be another story!

In this world of virtual conversations, we should all be carefull of what we say! I recently made a comment on a fun site I use, that someone I classed as a friend had a real go at me. I was told I was being disrespectful to the Australians. I wont say what I had said, as it would take forever to write down how and why, but suffice it to say, this person tore me down a strip for something in jest. This person happened to be a mod on the site who always said if you find something disagreable or hurtful to turn away and reply later. This person did not do this as the pm came to me almost instantly. This person then said perhaps my lifestyle here was in question, and maybe I should get out more. What right did this person have to say this to me? We had never met, only spoken on the web. This person had lived here at one point, but left for reasons that I do not know about. The living here and having a whale of a time gave the right to criticise me and my way of life here.

In a way, it has spoilt my enjoyment on the other site.

One site I love to visit is the Historical Fiction site. On it, I can speak to others in other countries: USA, Canada, UK and other parts of Europe. To have friendships all over the world is wonderful. *bug hugs* to all my web friends!

Today we went to see the new Harry Potter film, I loved it! Hubby and children enjoyed it too! Well worth it!

At the moment, the book I am reading is 'The Red Hat Club' by Haywood Smith. When I am older, I want to wear puple too! I will join the Red Hat Society, but at the moment, I will be in Lavendar too long! In other words, I am still too young! How lovely it is to say that! I feel old at the moment, I have just finished the crochet throw and it is just the right size to put over my legs when it is cold. I call it my blankey!

Anyhow, back to the book; it is really good! Set in America, there is a group of women that did the frat thing together, and now are Red Hatters. They help eachother out in times of trouble and have a laugh in the process! The book keeps reverting back to when they were in the Madamoisells in school, and what they got upto. Really good book! I will keep you posted!

Meet Koala!!

Meet Koala! We saw her at Belaire National Park in November. The park was full of people there for a works Christmas Bar-B-Que. She came down the tree, looked around and went back up again! We know it is a she as there is a baby round the other side of the tree!
